MEMBERSHIP POLICIES
Servant Wings has four membership options for those that wish to be a part of our vision to prepare mission aviators for field service. Membership is limited to those that are willing to adhere to our policies, can agree with our doctrinal statement, and that desire to contribute to the purpose and vision of Servant Wings.
Membership options are as follows:
1. Candidate member – One who is committed to serve Jesus Christ as a mission aviator and is within two years of joining a mission agency. The candidate must be in contact with the mission agency that he/she plans on joining and have his/her Commercial pilots license.
2. Support member – One who is committed to helping prepare the candidate member for mission service through involvement in any of the following ways:
a. Financial support of Servant Wings or a Candidate
b. Providing housing for a Candidate
c. Engage in fund raising and other events of Servant Wings
d. Contribute to Servant Wings in training seminars, employment of Candidates, and many other ways that are approved by Servant Wings.
3. Pilot members – One who is a pilot, licensed for the applicable aircraft and that is committed to support and encourage our candidate members as they complete their experience level preparation to join a mission agency. This could be by flying with them, sharing your flight experience, helping them procure employment & housing, providing some specific ground school training, etc.
4. Corporate members – Those companies or organizations that are committed to our candidates by providing encouragement, financial support, and opportunities for our candidates to serve you or with you. It is Servant Wing’s desire that our candidates would work closely with you in effecting designated ministries.
All members are encouraged to be at the majority of our monthly meetings, fund raising events, and training seminars. Our goal is to see many more aviators reach the foreign field of service. Our purpose is to properly prepare them for ministry, flight, and maintenance experience, and to foster a greater appreciation and understanding of cross-cultural ministry, and to be debt free. Membership participation is critical to our goals.

Non-Member involvement as volunteers is also strongly encouraged and needed. The Board of Directors reserves the right to waive the initiation fee in lieu of an equivalent commitment of time given to a significant role in Servant Wings.
